This site features links to numerous educational topics including WebQuests, Digital Media, Technology Integration, Constructivism, Grant Writing, and much more.


Apple Education K-12

This site continually updates providing new ideas on how to use technology in K-12 classrooms. Great resources on digital media, digital tools, curriculum ideas, profiles of innovative schools and classrooms, and multiple examples of student work and teacher lesson plans.


Bartleby Great Books Online

Site provides access to fiction, nonfiction, reference, and verse - providing students and teachers unlimited access to books and information on the Web.


Education World

Education World

A collection of resources for educators: a home for educators on the Internet, a place where teachers could gather and share ideas, a complete online resource where educators could start each day to find the lesson plans and research materials they were looking for. Site includes: a search engine for educational Web sites only, original content, including lesson plans, practical information for educators, information on how to integrate technology in the classroom, and articles written by education experts, and more.

A collection of Web resources for primary students and their teachers. A paid subscription provides ad-free pages, but all information is available free at this time. Use it as a resource for finding great sites online.

International Children's Digital Library

A project of the University of Maryland and the Internet Archive. It is a searchable collection of books and videos of interest to children around the world.

The Internet Archive

The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

The Internet Public Library

The Internet Public Library is a public service organization and a learning/teaching environment at the University of Michigan School of Information. It has been continuously in operation on the Internet since 1995.

National Library of Virtual Manipulatives

This site showcases is a three-year NSF supported project to develop a library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials for K-12 mathematics instruction.

PBS Teacher Source

PBS TeacherSource materials are developed by trained and practicing educators. PBS TeacherSource's vast array of resources, including: resources by curricular subject, topic, grade level and standard; online professional development through PBS TeacherLine; PBS station outreach activities in your community; tips on how to effectively teach with technology; PBS programs with extended taping rights for educators; recommended books and Web sites; interdisciplinary teaching suggestions; and free weekly electronic newsletter. The Thinkfinity site, formerly MarcoPolo, provides no-cost, standards-based Internet content for the K-12 teacher and classroom, developed by the nation's content experts. Online resources include panel-reviewed links to top sites in many disciplines, professionally developed lesson plans, and classroom activities. Sites include materials to help with daily classroom planning, brief and extended lesson plans, reviewed and expert-approved links to related high-quality sites, and powerful search engines.

The Virtual Reference Desk

The Virtual Reference Desk (VRD) is a project dedicated to the advancement of digital reference and the successful creation and operation of human-mediated, Internet-based information services. VRD is sponsored by the United States Department of Education.
